About Us
Who are we
Château Lapourcaud was founded in 1883 and taken over by Vincent Gas in 2020. Located in the heart of the Blaye Côte de Bordeaux appellation, on our well-exposed hillsides, this vineyard has a wide diversity of soils dominated by clay with sandy and gravelly parts.
The vines are between 25 and 60 years old. We take great care of them so that they deliver fruity bunches with character.
This wine comes from meticulous plot work with the greatest respect for the environment. A blend of Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) produces a pretty red wine with a purple color.
On the nose, this wine is distinctive with notes of very ripe fruit, and fine touches of chocolate character. On the palate, you will appreciate the finesse of the tannins, the freshness and the delicious fruitiness specific to our Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux.
